-Refrigerator in breakfast room barely works, I forewent my usual yogurt and had my cereal dry for fear of spoilage.

If I was reviewing for the employees I would give a 5 star but I am reviewing the owner of this place. I was happy to see the former Guesthouse that I have stayed at for years had been remodeled upon check in. When pulling in front of the doors I noticed an older Indian gentleman smoking and spoke as I always do but didn't get a response. Before I continue I must say I am not prejudiced in any way shape or form and I travel a lot and stay in several Indian owned motels. I was initially going to stay 4 days but left after 1 and a half of watching how this man creeps around the halls staring at the housekeepers and being mean to others. I listened to him talk down to them in such a horrible way and a young man that was also working I guess as the maintain man. As he was talking to a man who I am assuming was a guest and was calling the other young man a lazy American. That was enough for me. I intended on checking out to go to another motel in town but upon speaking to the desk clerk I found he owns them too. I traveled on down the road. Be warned if you stay at any of the 4 motels in Grayson KY you are staying in rooms where the owner thinks all Americans are lazy and beneath him. Such a disappointment.
Nice, clean budget hotel... There is no elevator here. If you can't carry luggage up stairs, ask for a room on the 1st floor. The hotel has been renovated, is clean and reasonably attractive. The staff was nice and friendly. Complaints would be... My t.v. had no sound, though I didn't ask to fix it. Beds were nice, but a bit on the firm side. If you like this, you'll be happy. If not, you might be a bit stiff like I was this morning. Breakfast was decent, but only decent. WiFi was a joke except for the breakfast and lobby area. Oh, my showerhead was dirty and in need of replacement. I think the contractors missed that in the remodel.
Generally ok. Pretty standard fare with nice clean good looking rooms. Bathroom is good though the shower head is basic without multiple stream settings.
The beds,Tv and rooms updated you don't need your own pillows any more
.Very comfortable sleep ,clean rooms and nice breakfast that was constantly kept up with.
-Room doors slam noisily and easy to hear conversations in adjacent rooms.
Downsides:
Our family always stays at this hotel when visiting family in Grayson. I was glad to see the renovation, it was needed. This has to be the best hotel in Grayson. New flooring, beds, furniture,etc. Double rooms upgraded to two queen beds instead of double beds. Indoor pool to entertain the kids, Shoney's next door, KFC and Pizza Hut across the street. I highly recommend this hotel if staying in Grayson. There are hotels rated more stars, but all are at least 20 miles away. This is a quiet and convenient location for my family's needs.
